water slides!

Hi this is Mia writing.
So on Tuesday July 24th we went to a water slide place with two other families. But the water slides aren't good quality.

The water slide in this picture goes down a little bit and then around and then if you are just sitting normally you completely stop and you can walk down until this spot that actually goes fast and then go slowly to the end.

Mikala was trying to walk up the slide but failed.

As you can see Maddy and her friend Mikala stopped and had to walk.
This a picture on a very steep slide that went very fast.
There was a very small slide that just went around very slowly ( you had to walk down almost all of it).

We all went at the same time and ran into each other it hurt but it was fun.
Cade and Nick very weird.
Maddy and Mikala were hibernating while reading.
Jack Jack in the yellow thingy is very cute and funny sometimes you don't know if he is talking to you or not. Which in this picture he is talking to me.
We got ice cream and then swam a little bit more then went home.
We all had fun and most of us want to do it again.

Maddy blogging

The other day, we made frozen fruit bites.
It was a simple, yet yummy snack.
We crumbled some Nestle cookies and added a cream cheese concoction over top, then stuck them in the freezer.
We also got some raspberries and blackberries, a very special and expensive treat here.

After the cream cheese concoction was frozen,  we added berries
All of our bites lined up
Please note that Lucy took all of the pictures.

On another note:
Mikala was over the other day, and we made these yummy Oreo cheesecake bites, which we put in the freezer downstairs. The next day, we decided to eat them for breakfast, and we went downstairs. Upon opening the freezer door, two were missing.
Mikala and I questioned everyone in the house, and no one took them.
The only thing that is possible is that Doña Mari, the caretaker downstairs, took them.
The next day, I went downstairs again to get the rest of the bites.

One was back.

I guess she didn't like them.

fishing with dad

Me and dad went fishing where dad usually goes fishing.  It was really fun.  It was really cold so I had a t-shirt, a long sleeved shirt, a sweater and a rain coat.  I'm in our blow-up boat.  That is what we went fishing in.  We went fishing close to Otavalo.
Dad caught a big and strong fish and I held it.  It was a rainbow trout.  It was very slippery and gooey.  It was the most beautiful fish I have ever seen.

After we went fishing, we went to a hostel and we played chess.  We stayed there for night.
The next day dad cooked the fish at home and ate it for lunch.  I tried it but I didn't like it.

Editors note:  It is a trout even though it looks like salmon!  The trout here is pink!

crayon art

This is Cade.
We made crayon art.  It was a lot of fun.  We drew our shape on the canvas and hot glued certain colored crayons around it.

Maddy tried using the heat gun but it was too hot.  So some of the color got inside the heart.  Then she used her hairdryer but it blew too hard so the color still got in the heart.
Once Mia's was done, it looked like a purple and blue firework.

Instead of me blowing it outside the "C", I blew it inside and it looked a lot better.  I used blue and green crayon pieces, but there was only one light green.  Mom helped me.
I would like to do this craft again.

Lucy blogging

Here I am!
Mom: "Okay, what do you want to say?"
Lucy: "I have no idea."
Last week we made pinwheels for the 4th of July.
 This is the craft stuff.
We used papers, markers, scissors, and tape.  And thumb tacks and sticks.
Here is Cade's lego house.  It has a bathroom.
Here is are family in a picture frame.
Mia holding the pinwheels that we made.  She was hiding behind them because she didn't want her picture taken.

We also made kiwi lemonade last week.  We put lemon juice, kiwis, sugar and water in the blender.
Then we mixed it and it looked delicious.
Here they are in the fancy cups.
I don't know why I'm writing this because I wasn't even there!  Mia said it wasn't a big hit.  It didn't taste good.
Cade said disgustingness.  I'm glad I wasn't there.

Editor's note:  It was not very good....  We got the idea and recipe from familyfun.com, but it just wasn't good.  I think if we added Sprite or something instead of the water it would have been much better - it was really tart even though we added sugar.
